2015, Installation, happening and publication
December 9, 2015 from 8: 00-11: 00pm at Pandeo, artist-run space, Mexico City

The publication 50 toneladas de carne de puerco (50 tons of pork), printed on Risograph in two inks (14 x 10.5 cm, 24 pages, edition of 50), was a photo project and an ethnographic research.

The installation consisted of 10 tables, 40 chairs and a refrigerator (acquired through an agreement with the Coca-Cola company), an analog television, and a publication. For the happening, the audience consumed corn gorditas whit pork (5kg of pork) and drank Coca- Cola.

This project was driven by an interest in domestic economies, how women in these rural areas improvise by setting up “cenadurías” (diners)—owning a business without leaving their homes—in their living rooms or garages. A job done only at night, after they have taken care of their reproductive labor.
