Museo Ex Teresa Arte Actual is located in the historical center of Mexico City. It’s baroque (façade) and neoclassical (interiors) construction dates back to 1616, and was created to house the convent of Santa Teresa la Antigua and the monastery of San José de las Carmelitas Descalzas. In 1863 when secularization concluded, the building fell on to several uses. In 1993 it became a museum after significant estructural remodeling that brings together historical and contemporary architecture.
